An Exploration OF Earthy Tones
This wedding was a stunning study in earthy elegance, with a palette that brought together the rich, warm tones of caramel, rust, latte, toffee, coffee, pink brick, nude, burgundy, blush, cream, and terracotta. This wasn’t your typical rustic wedding; instead, it was an elevated, luxurious interpretation of autumn’s most beautiful colours, reimagined with a contemporary twist.
Florals played a starring role, with sculptural arrangements featuring toffee roses, hydrangea, wild tobacco, cascading amaranthus, cymbidium and vanda orchids, quicksand roses, and bold chrysanthemums. Each arrangement was carefully crafted with texture and shape, avoiding a rustic feel by creating grouped, cloud-like designs that felt sophisticated and refined. Amaranthus dripped delicately from arrangements, while hydrangeas added a soft, cloud-like effect, lending an ethereal quality to the warm tones.
A pair of freestanding geometric plinths served as a striking backdrop for the couple as they exchanged vows, adding height and structure to the ceremony space. The plinths transformed the earthy palette into a modern, luxe setting, showcasing how these rich colours can be styled in a bold, editorial way. These were then moved into the reception, to elevate that space and make great use of the couples budget.
At the reception, the “lovers’ lounge” became an instant icon—a beautifully styled photo spot where guests could capture memories against a backdrop of exaggerated heights and layered textures. This lounge brought an element of playfulness to the space, merging romance with contemporary elegance.
This wedding defied expectations, proving that a palette rooted in earthy, autumnal tones can feel fresh, modern, and undeniably luxurious. It was a celebration of texture, tone, and sculptural beauty—an editorial-worthy vision of autumn brought to life.
